Rashida Marshall, the librarian for Grace Christian Elementary, began her educational career at Hattiesburg Public Schools in 2006. Her career in education began as an ELA teacher for fourth and fifth grade. Later, she became a fifth-grade science teacher. While teaching is her passion, her love for reading, teaching, and learning inspired her to become a school librarian. As a librarian, it is her desire to create a never-ending passion for learning in all her students. Her love for reading and books has led her to write and publish The Pink Ribbon, a children’s book written to inspire others to display their love through service and support.
